Dahlias
These spectacular, tender perennials offer a kaleidoscope of colour and habit to the 21st centry gardener. At Petersham we are renowned for our Babylon Dahlias, with their dinner plate sized flowers in shades from pink to purple, red, and terracotta, but we also offer varieties of a more modest size - Perfect for the smaller gardens of today.
We currently have a good stock of bedding varieties such as Bishop of Landaff and Bishop of York and the new Happy Series and some less easy to find varieties.
Everything from the bronze floliage and bright red floers of Dahlia Bishop of Landaff to the maroon red flower heads of Arabian Night. These are easy to grow so long as you provide them with fertile, moist soil, and will offer a display of flowers from June until the first frosts of autumn and even some material for flower cuttings for the house.
